Your donation to Maqlaqs Gaa’tkni goes directly to supporting our work in caring for forests, repairing watersheds and habitat, training our youth in traditional forest stewardship practices, and fostering resilience in Native communities in Southern Oregon.

We are all resourced in different ways at different times in our life journey, and there are many ways that you or your organization can contribute to our work. Maqlaqs Gaa’tkni is a 501(c)3 registered nonprofit and all donations are tax deductible.

Wish List

  • 4x4 Truck

We do difficult labor in hard to reach areas and having a reliable, safe vehicle to get us in and out is critical. If you or someone you know has a truck that could be donated, let us know!

  • Trailer

We frequently need to move materials in and out of restoration sites (bio-char, equipment, firewood, debris). Any kind of trailer is appreciated, but a dump trailer would be particularly appreciated!

  • Forestry Tools

We primarily operate with hand-tools, in alignment with our intent to step lightly in the spaces we cultivate and care for. Chainsaws, shovels, metal rakes, and pole saws are always needed.

  • Safety Equipment

Safety is our top priority. We can always use leather gloves, fire-retardant clothing, fire extinguishers, portable water tenders, first aid supplies, AEDs, radios, hearing protection, and hard-hats.

  • BioChar Kilns

We practice traditional methods of BioChar production and BiooChar kilns allow our teams to do this safely and efficiently.

  • Scholarships

Would you like to sponsor a young adult to receive training in Native forest stewardship practices and receive on-the-job training? We’d love that too. :)
